A new shirt design has been unveiled for Yale-NUS athletes. In a follow-up to last year’s identity rebranding, where the words “Yale-NUS” were replaced with “Team NUS”, a further move has been made to make the shirts more inclusive. The new design (pictured right) will no longer contain the word “NUS”.
Yun Dong Yuan ’17, a member of the tchoukball team, welcomes the change. “I feel that the new shirts really encapsulate our school identity, especially when playing at the inter-university level. To me, they get down to the heart of what our athletes are about,” they said.
“To make our shirts more appealing to a wide base of supporters, perhaps next year we could remove the word ‘Team’ as well,” they said.
