Who Speaks for Yale-NUS?: The Octant will be hosting a discussion on representing Yale-NUS College on Monday, Oct. 17 at 8pm in the Elm Common Lounge. Everyone is invited and President Lewis will attend.
State of the Art: Artober returns to Yale-NUS this month, organised by the Visual Arts Society (VAS). So far, VAS has hosted a number of art jams, a talk by Rector Sarah Weiss and a college artists’ round table. Coming up this week is an urban sketch walk on Saturday and an art jam focusing on doodling.
Cheers!: Yale-NUS’s Oktober Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, the European Society announced. Expect sausages, games and lots of German water!
There Will Be Blood: ComPact and the Red Cross hosted Yale-NUS’s first blood donation drive on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Photogenic: The Singapore International Photography Festival opened on Oct. 6 and will continue until Nov. 13. On offer are exhibitions by Li Zhengsheng, Roger Ballen and Daido Moriyama.
Family Weekend: The Yale-NUS Family Weekend was held from Friday to Sunday, Oct. 7 to 9. There were faculty sessions and campus tours as well as a community barbecue and student performances to welcome the parents.
